Same Album StillNot Finished

Edison Auto Shop is still in the works - we've been lazy, had setbacks, schuduling problems, expanded our families, been working our day jobs etc. you get the point.

and we promise, when the day comes that it is complete, it will be glorious. Just think of it as our version of Chinese Democracy...

June 30 Session Scheduled

Pat and Steve will be welding and hammering all the final touches on the Edison Auto Shop in a few weeks. Then they plan to pop up the hood and show em what GS is made of. Ladies, Gentlemen, the rest of you...start your engines.

And don't forget about Grits with Gits and Stix either.

Rev Your Engine in the Auto Shop

Steve has been busy finishing bass and guitar parts for the forthcoming Grit Scrimmage Album. He is taking over bass duties for the MIA Jason on 8 of the songs while Pat will be picking up the slack on the rest of the songs. That leaves only Pat's guitar parts and the vocals to put down. That should take place in the next couple of weeks. Meanwhile both Pat and Steve have been hard at work in their other bands Spoon Fed Adults and Cab Assassin. Be sure to check out the happenings of those bands as well.

Have a Very Merry Gritstmas

December will be grit-tastic. We have stocked up on wine-coolers, cheap beer, smokes, slim jims, soul rolls, big-uns, truck stoppers, go-go tacquitos, and guitar strings. The final recording session for the Grit Scrimmage "Edison Auto Shop" Album is just around the corner, and if all goes well, the cd may be finished before Christmas. There was a minor set back in the Alexandria, VA studio, where some recording equipment went to crap. No thanks to the L.A.P.D. (Lower Alexandria Power Drinkers) of course. Anyway, EAS will be finished at Bridge-Lock studio in Chesapeake country. And then...well, once EAS is complete, Grit Scrimmage just might go all metal all the time.
...and we promise, it will sound even more like a cross between Iced Earth and Blind Guardian than Demons & Wizards do (if anyone even knows what the hell that means).

More Grit Action Unveiled

Alexandria legends Grit Scrimmage have finalized the deal to release a series of CDs with Chief Baby Records for exclusive distribution on the Delmarva penninsula and the DC/Baltimore metro areas. The band is happy to be working with Chief Baby and knows that the label will always provide a home for their brand of WT Metal Stylings. The band hopes to have distribution details worked out for other locales soon. For any of you Japanese or German Power Metal labels...that means you still have a chance to sign the band for distribution in your corner of the globe.

So for now, take off your shirt, park your lawnmower, crack a Stroh's, light up a smoke and hit up Chief Baby at www.chiefbabyrecords.blogspot.com
